Your Role

  • Drives Medical Publication Strategy for the Oncology portfolio
  • Manages a cross-functional team with diverse stakeholders to achieve high quality & compliant medical publication strategy & planning integrating global and local perspectives
  • Works closely with external academic experts/KOLs and consultants/ agencies
  • Operationalizes strategy within publication sub team, chairs selected publication sub teams
  • Accountable for the delivery publication plans within the respective budgets and timelines
  • Line management of Publication managers/coordinators
  • Ensures compliance with all relevant internal and external regulations
  • Analyze existing processes and workflows, compares to industry standards, identifies areas for improvement, develops recommendations for implementation of efficiency projects
  • Has a pro-active and forward looking approach to compliance topics, knows regulations and compliance obligations and how the company needs to manage this
  • Represents company at industry conferences
  • Manages relationships with external vendors

Who you are

  • University degree in natural science, preferable with a PhD
  • 10+ years experience in an international Pharma setting in various aspects of drug development (clinical, biostats, regulatory, safety, medical)
  • Minimum 8-10 years of work in a medical publication department or equivalent (e.g. agency)
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills, effective at a senior level in the organization
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience as line manager
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
