Brand Director – Established Products 630 views

The primary responsibilities of this role, Brand Director Established Products, are to:

  • Establish a standard for categorizing and prioritizing Late Stage Products;
  • Work with global team to identify key processes and market signals indicating a product has moved or is shifting from growth to late stage;
  • Define metrics, timing and factors to classify brands as “late stage”;
  • Establish a capability and process for transitioning products in portfolio from growth into late stage based on agreed upon criteria;
  • Prioritize brand opportunities;
  • Work with global Established Products (EP) team to identify and stratify opportunities for brand;
  • Collaborate with Brand Teams, Channel Marketing and Contracting to define competitive priorities for mature Bayer products across the portfolio and to inform contracting and tactics to maximize Return on Investment (ROI)within Bayer guidelines;
  • Explore and develop brand options including, but not limited to, divestiture, partnerships, co-marketing, packaging, and other innovative instruments and scenarios;
  • Work with key functions, Finance, Legal, Business Development, to establish cross-functional work team;
  • Leverage Market Access/Account Management (AM) team to introduce strategies and tactics;
  • Take brand offers and opportunities to market place;
  • Leverage information from Channel Marketing as well as industry intelligence from Business Insights to determine implications of market trends on maturing products;
  • Use AM teams and other resources to bring opportunities to key targets in market place;
  • Work with third parties to capitalize on innovative approaches (e.g. Digital, Social);
  • Coordinate with Contracting, Channel & Account Management group to validate opportunities;
  • Define metrics and sources of data for strategy performance monitoring Drive analyses to assess ROI and performance for mature brands in collaboration with Contract Analysis team, and leverage insights to inform future tactics for Established Products;
  • Report to Brand and Commercial & Government Customers (CGC) leadership on performance of approved strategies;
  • Provide input to annual pricing plans for mature products to determine planned price actions, guardrails and strategies to achieve profitable access as aligned with Global.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree;
  • Fifteen plus (15)+ years related work experience in Pharma/biotech/healthcare industry;
  • Experience in mature or Established Products, or generics experience;
  • Collaborates, Drives results, Strategic mindset, Cultivates innovation, and Business Insights;
  • Ability to formulate a clear strategy and maps the aggressive steps that will clearly accelerate the organization toward its strategic goals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • M.B.A. Degree;
  • Past brand or Business Unit-affiliated marketing experience;
  • Three to five (3-5) years managed care experience;
  • Previous experience representing US-specific Pricing &Reimbursement strategies and/or analysis-driven contracting strategies.
